As a core activity and USP of SACAL, In Budanildi and Damboguda villages of Dambaguda Gram Panchayat, Mohana Block, rainwater management initiatives supported by the Azim Premji Foundation are strengthening agricultural and livelihood resilience. The project focuses on creating primary and secondary bunds, sub-surface dykes, LBS, and gully control structures to maximize water infiltration, reduce soil erosion, and improve soil fertility. By minimizing dependence on erratic rainfall, these interventions enhance crop survival, boost yields, and promote sustainable farming practices—ensuring long-term water security and food sufficiency for the community.
